The first game of the tournament was a very close game between two skilful teams. The first half saw both teams try very hard to breakthrough the oppositions defence but without success. Despite pressure from Stroitel Brest they could not force an equaliser.

The first game in group B finished on equal terms after a penalty stroke from Grange’s number 4, Robert BARR, cancelled out an earlier goal from Sekvioa’s number 11, Artem OZERSKYI. Match 6 - SC Stroitel Brest 6 - 0 Cardiff and UWIC
Cardiff and UWIC, following on from their good win yesterday, managed to hold the Brest team 0 - 0 until half time. Whitchurch started the game extremely well going ahead in the 6th minute when Mark WHATLING converted a penalty corner. They further edged their advantage in the 19th when Richard YOUNG scored. Whitchurch then did their best to throw away the points after they allowed Olimpia to score two goals within three minutes.
